The Google Pixel 7a is still a noteworthy smartphone despite being a year old. To make things even better, Best Buy has an excellent deal on the phone that knocks off $270 from the phone’s price tag. Yes, that’s right! The Pixel 7a can now be bagged for just $229, which in my opinion, is an absolute steal.
This means that you’ll get an unlocked Pixel 7a for less than half the retail price, which is $499. Google’s mid-ranger is powered by the Tensor G2 and sports a 6.1-inch OLED screen with support for 90Hz refresh rate.
For the camera enthusiasts, the device packs a solid 64MP primary, f/1.9 shooter and a 13 MP ultrawide, f/2.2 lens. For selfies, you get a decent 13MP f/2.2 wide angle lens. On the topic of cameras, the Pixel 7a knocked the competition out of the park in MKBHDs blind smartphone camera experiment earlier this year.
The battery life is fairly decent too with its 4385 mAh cell. As a Pixel 7a user, I can get through the day with moderate usage comfortably. But you might have to top it off mid-way if you use the phone for other intensive tasks.
I noticed that the deal is currently only available for the “Charcoal” color variant of the Pixel 7a. The “Snow” color variant is discounted too, however, it’s selling for $299. So if you really want the white phone, you’ll have to cough up some more money.
That said, if you’re set on buying the phone, I’d suggest hurrying up because the limited-time deal might end soon.
